Brett’s journey into architecture began as a carpenter working on custom residential projects in Colorado, and later, the Texas Hill country. The hands-on knowledge proved valuable as a student of architecture at the University of Colorado-Denver where he received a masters degree in architecture with a focus on design-build practices. He participated in the Colorado Building Workshop (formerly UCD’s design-build collaboration with Univ. of Utah’s DesignBuildBLUFF program) to be part of a team that designed and then built a home for a Navajo family in southeastern Utah.
After graduation, Brett wore many hats in various roles in the architecture and construction fields and led to his role at Mustard Design Architects. His construction background and attention to detail are important assets to delivering projects on time and where the client’s satisfaction is at the top of our priorities. Brett enjoys time with family and friends, the outdoors, woodworking, and photography on his time off.
