Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Mr. Mustard received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1983. Early in his senior year, he was hired by the Texas Historical Commission as an architectural consultant with the state-sponsored Main Street Project, assisting small Texas towns in restoring their historic downtown buildings. This influenced Mr. Mustard’s decision to relocate to a small town to continue his training and passion for architecture. In 1993, following eight years of employment at another firm, Mr. Mustard began his own firm, Mustard Design, in Fredericksburg, Texas. His thirty years of work in the field have provided vast opportunity in a variety of architectural styles. His projects include both residential and commercial experience, large and small, historic and modern construction. Eric is involved in various civic and charitable organizations in the Hill Country. He is married and the father of four sons.
